Again, the buttons

aetsch designed the buttons "Index", "News" and "Site Map" and I implemented them. I think the main design is almost, if not completely, done. I've added a bit more stuff to the members section. Note that the Site Map is still to come.
I'm going a small team of people with good HTML knowledge, who're going to help me with converting to old IF page's content to the new design. So far, aetsch and Hydra are going to help me. If you're interested, drop me a line.

I've been fixing a lot of bugs today, with major help of CyQ and also some help of wizdom and Thundercloud. Rock on, guys!
All of the HTML 4.01 and CSS2 is valid at the moment, so I put up the funky W3C icons on the bottom of the index. I've also fixed all of the news templates (archive, news search) with the new lay-out.
We spiced it up!

To my big surprise, aetsch almost totally redid the design to make it graphically more impressive. He's done a great job!
I didn't know he was redoing the design (I thought he was just redoing the logo), so I had to merge the old and new designs, which I did. It cost me some time to make everything work again, but aetsch's new design is a better template to work with for sure. Besides, it looks even better as well.
I've made stuff work, added a script that shows the current date (once made by Blazer, I think), added a page header, validated all of the CSS code and most of the HTML 4.01 code. Wheefun. =)
I really think aetsch and I have outdone ourselves this time, heh.

I started work on the Members section. I've only added 3 members so far, but the rest should be up soon. Some of these member info bits from the old/current IF page are outdated and need to be rewritten.

After a few hours of pain and sweat, I've finally made the news/updates archive file templates fit this style. It turned out to be really simple, but it took me ages to find it out, with help of xabbott, wizdom and Ibrahim. Thanks, guys! ;D
Anyway, this is just some behind-the-scene work. You won't notice of a thing of it. And it took so long. Heh, ah well. I hope to get some actual content up soon.
News searching and more

As of now, you should be able to search both the updates and the community news section, via the two simple forms in the menu bar. There's still a slight bug in the resulting HTML (the menu bar looks a bit odd), but I'll look into that soon enough.
In other news, Dragonlord has made good progress on the Guide of ZZT/MZXers script, which is excellent. wizdom has also made good progress on the review archive script. He still needs to take care of the admin side, though.
The headlines work

Yeah, they work. And I'm mildly excited about it.
